| Anyone like this show?
It's been going along pretty well this season, hoping that it'll continue along this path for the rest of it and into next season as well.

| This weeks episode was so good! I was really worried for a minute that they were going to kill off Arastoo. That would've been horrible! I really like him and Cam, plus he's really handsome. You know, I love all the couples on this show, which is unusual.

They were really trying to make us bite our fingernails for a bit there. Definitely, it wouldn't have been as good of a show without him. Same here Only mistake they've made is breaking up Daisy and Sweets, won't forgive them for that one

| You know, the only couple I didn't love on Bones was Daisy and Sweets. Just because Daisy as a character is so annoying. I mean, they were okay, but I didn't love them like I love the other couples on this show. I wish Sweets would find someone...

Yea Daisy could be rather annoying But they seemed to be lessening that aspect of her character as of late, so it kind of stinks that they didn't keep them together. Me too, he deserves to find someone and so does Daisy.

| Spoiler alert : If you havent seen the season finale stop reading NOW! If you continue reading I am just going to say that I am heart broken . Brenan was really looking forward to the marriage idea at last. The way Pelant managed to spoil this for her its really brilliant because he is spoiling it for The character and for many fans who were really looking forward to it. ( me included ) I think Pelant is one of the best villains the series has had. I just hope He does not become the " Red John " of the series.

| Who's Red John?
Personally, I hate all episodes with Pelant. They're trying to recapture what they did with Gormagon and a that one guy who cut his wife's head off and left it in the freezer for them to find. Except Pelant is All Powerful. There's always something else he is better at and can outsmart them with. It's passed the realm of plausibility.
And that ending to the finale was just crap. It was just a contrivance to, like you said, keep them and the audience from getting what they want. And to manufacture conflict in their relationship where there authentically is none. And you're telling me Booth couldn't find a way to let Brennan know he was being forced to say that? How about inside the FBI interrogation room and written on a scrap of paper or something? Seriously. Pelant can't see everything everywhere every time. And since when would Brennan just swallow her thoughts, say, oh, okay, and cry quietly to herself? That's not her character! She'd question him logically about his abrupt change of heart. That's so out of character for him, and she'd know that and question it. But no, they make her react like a stereotypical girl in every romcom, just hiding how she feels to manufacture unearned conflict. I was so disgusted with that whole thing!

Quote (freelantzer) Who's Red John? Red John is like Aaron has kindly pointed out , the main villain in a series called " The mentalist " The problem with it, and what I fear might happen to Pelant is what you have said about him being all powerful . In the other series I mention, the guy always outsmarts the detectives and they never catch him, the plot line has become a bit boring and neverending in a show that was entertaining and interesting to watch. I dont want this to happen in Bones, where they have had some fine Villains , but in the long run , the good guys always find a way to catch them and move on to new challenges and new villains thus keeping the storyline fresh with new twists and new outomes. Now I find Pelant a somehow creepy villain, he has been around for some time and while I find him a Brilliant and a fantastic foe ( the same as the gravedigger and the gormagon ) . None of them has lingered over more than two seasons, if I am not mistaken. I find okay that they used him for a season finale to spoil the joy we had gotten with Brenan´s marriage proposal to Booth. Cliffhangers are expected , I dont expect a happy ending , specially when things are going on so smoothly . They needed a killjoy , Pelant did the part. It sucks bigtime, I know. But I am not surprised. What I hope , and I wish is that Pelant does not become this impossible to catch guy, that lingers on till the end of the show. And that his ability to watch it all , does not turn in an ability to control them all . Like you have stated, there are ways for them to communicate without him knowing .They have achieved this previously and thus should be able to do it this time around. It was just a way to end the season , getting everybody exited with the marriage issue and then poping up the exitement in a nasty mean way. Taking into consideration there had nothing else available at the moment Pelant had to work. I agree Brenan´s reaction was out of character, but maybe cause she was so hurt. She did not expect this at all. I don´t know. I hated how the season ended last season but they fixed it soon enought in the first episode, I am crossing my fingers they do so again and catch Pelant so they can come up with a new villain that will challenge the team in a completely different way.

| Oh, yeah, Gravedigger was a good villain, too. I just find Pelant has already reached Red John status. They are chasing him forever, finally catch him, and suddenly Pelant no longer exists--this guy is now an Egyptian national (might've been a different county, I don't remember) with another name and is released back to his "homeland." But now hes back and has the computer skills to make absolutely anything happen and can outsmart the entire FBI every time. It's just ridiculous. I really hope they fix it in the first episode like you said.

Agreed. The only problem I had with the Gravedigger plot line was the whole thing about Zack being his apprentice. Was totally bummed out by that one So sad and tragic.
Yea Pelant is rather ridiculous, but I got to give props to the actor who plays him. He's doing a really good job so far. Hopefully they'll fix it soon enough during next season.

| Zack wasn't Gravedigger's apprentice--he was Gormagon's. That was a terrible twist. Gravedigger was the lady who buried people alive--she buried Brennan and Hodgens one time, and the last we saw her a sniper blew her head off and freaked Sweets out because he was right next to her.

Oops... my bad. Forgot about Gormagon. The Gravedigger was a good bad guy, Gormagon was just a sick one >_>. Definitely. I've always wondered why the story went in that general direction.
